    The RSB program’s primary mission is to improve access to financing for small business owners in need, in a quick and expeditious manner. The loans will be intentionally affordable with interest rates well below market rates. This program will support loan affordability, it will reduce barriers, support financial independence, and help build lasting relationships between the bank and the business owners.

    The City of Kingston's Form-Based Zoning Code

    The City of Kingston’s zoning code, called Kingston Forward, is a form-based code that regulates the location, design, alteration, occupancy, and use of structures and the use of land. It is designed to make it easier to develop in Kingston while protecting what makes our City so unique. The code was adopted on August 2, 2023. More info here.

    Midtown Thriving: BOA Grant

    The City of Kingston, in partnership with Hudson Valley Pattern for Progress, has won a Brownfield Opportunity Area (BOA) grant for $238,559 from the New York State Department of State. The joint project is called Midtown Thriving: A Community Vision to Revitalize Vacant Properties.

    The grant will fund a community-driven Urban Renewal plan for the redevelopment of certain properties within the Midtown neighborhood of Kingston. The work will focus on vacant and abandoned properties within a 270-acre area that runs along the Broadway corridor. More info here.
